Smoky quartz
Smoky quartz is a semiprecious stone from the macro-crystalline quartz family.
Its colour varies from brownish-yellow to black, depending on how long its aluminium salts are exposed to the radiation caused by the surrounding granite.
It is mainly found in Brazil, Madagascar and Russia.
